Your own images often tell you more than you could consciously think or say. Images help you to understand your problem and to solve it.
You can visualise your emotion or experience by expressing it in a creative manner. Analyse what is there. What you want to do with it. What you need. You need not be a creative person to use this technique.
The Mat is a good instrument for dealing with situations where communication or interaction with another person is difficult. Or in cases where you notice that you yourself “are in the way.” But The Mat can also work wonders in giving concrete form to new behaviour.
